Inner Child Healing

What is Hypnotherapy?
Put simply, you'll close your eyes and imagine your dreams as reality! And who wouldn't benefit from that?
Hypnotherapy is an evidence-based practice that integrates neuroscience and psychology to create new neural pathways that expand your capacity of what you believe to be possible and align your mind & body to work for you, rather than against you.

Traditional talk therapy often brings to the surface many emotions and awareness of the self. Hypnotherapy takes it a step further. Yes, we will spend some time discussing the inner workings of your mind & emotions. However, we don't stop there. We then take that into the subconscious mind where we can form new and positive associations that will accelerate the process of healing and integration so you can become and achieve what you want, faster & with longer lasting resutlts.
How It Works
STEP 1 Apply Here
Here you will describe your interest in working together and the presenting issue or situation you'd like to address with Hypnotherapy. Together, we will determine if this is the best modality to support your needs and desires.
STEP 2 Book a Free Consult
This free, 20-minute call will give you the chance to ask me any questions as well as give me a very clear picture of your personal needs and craft the best plan for your care. We'll create a schedule of sessions, decide length of care, and discuss payment options. If any actions are needed prior to beginning our work together, we'll be able to assess them on this call.
STEP 3 Your sessions begin
Your first session will be slightly longer than the rest (90mins - 2hrs). Thereafter, sessions are typically 1hr - 90mins. Every session is unique as we respond and adjust to what is present or coming up for you. Generally, we begin with some discussion and exploration of your presenting issue, review progress and learnings from previous sessions, and guide you in to the subconscious space where you get to form new and positive associations that support your desired outcome. When applicable to the session, we might employ therapeutic journaling, breath, or other somatic exercises to support your process. For those who enjoy support with integration between sessions, I can offer "homework" that might include exercises or prompts, for example. This, of course, is always optional.

FAQs
1. Is Hypnotherapy for me?
Hypnotherapy can be beneficial for anyone, it just depends on what you are hoping to address with hypnotherapy. For example, hypnotherapy is not used to cure medical conditions. However, hypnotherapy can dramatically help to reduce the stress associated with your condition or give you insight to the deeper meaning this condition has on your life. There are few contraindications such as certain psychological disorders like schizophrenia. The best way to know if hypnotherapy is right for you is to submit your intake form and start the conversation with your hypnotherapist.
2. Will I lose control?
This is perhaps the most common misconception about hypnosis thanks to dramatic displays in movies and stage hypnosis performances. Hypnotherapy, in contrast, is a "do-with" process opposed to a "do-to" process. Your hypnotherapist uses your own language to provide suggestions to your subconscious mind. While you will likely feel deeply relaxed, it's actually quite common to feel a heightened sense of awareness opposed to being unconscious to the experience.
3. What will it feel like?
Most people report feeling deeply relaxed, peaceful, or sometimes even tingly and joyful. Depending on the person, some will drop into a deep state of calm, almost like sleep, and others might experience a calm that brings a heightened state of awareness.
4. Will I remember everything?
It depends. Sometimes, yes. The nature of the hypnotic state, depending how deep you go, is such that it can produce a temporary forgetfulness. This is nothing to be concerned about and is in fact, a good sign that you are responding well to the suggestions given to you. Even though you may not remember every word or visual within your hypnosis journey, you will feel their positive effects within you and within your life.
5. Is hypnotherapy safe?
Yes, absolutely. In fact, did you know that you go in and out of the hypnotic state several times a day? When you first wake up and just before going to sleep, you are in a hypnotic state. When you're watching a movie, or getting lost in your favorite book, or driving and suddenly realize you missed your exit because you were "somewhere else" in your thoughts... these are all states of hypnosis. Hypnotherapy employs an intentional use of this natural state to induce states of healing and empowerment.
